Two Drinks to Help You Host the Best Alcohol-Free Holiday Party

The holidays are dangerous when it comes to sweets and alcohol. I’m not a big drinker generally, so I always dread going to parties and feeling pressured to dive into typical holiday drinks. This is why I came up with some fun drink options that are (almost) guilt-free! Below, you’ll find our Clearly Kombucha float and Golden Milk Tea recipes that are delicious, fun, and super easy! I always offer to whip these up at my friends’ parties, and even though it’s for my own selfish reasons, they always end up being everyone’s favorite. These are the anti-hangover drinks to get you through this holiday week!

The CK (the other CK) Float

We love us some kombucha, especially our SF neighbors, Clearly Kombucha! Since we can’t get enough of the yummy organic active cultures, we created a kombucha float. The kombucha itself only has 15 calories and contains probiotics, and we used a dairy-free coconut ice cream! What better way to combat inflamed guts and that holiday bloat? While this still contains sugar (obviously), it’s a whole lot healthier than your typical soda-based floats or holiday eggnog drinks.

Ingredients:

Luna & Larry’s Organic Coconut Bliss ice cream (which can be found here) and your favorite Clearly Kombucha flavor! Check out their full selection here.

Step 1:

Grab your favorite glasses and fill 1/3 of the glass with kombucha.

Step 2:

Add in one scoop of dairy free ice cream to each glass, then finish off each glass with a little more kombucha. The kombucha will fizz and freeze (which is so fun by the way), so pour carefully!

Step 3:

Enjoy again and again!

Golden Milk Tea

This cozy beverage is high in nutrients and low in sugar. Golden milk tea is made with turmeric, giving it that beautiful golden glow.  Turmeric helps cleanse the body, relieve pain, and is extremely anti-inflammatory. This is the beverage that will keep you warm and feeling nice and lean this holiday.

Ingredients:

As you know all of our recipes are fool proof so this is only three ingredients. You need your favorite non-dairy milk (I used So Delicious Cashew Milk which can be found here), the Gaia Herbs golden milk mix, and some Organic Cinnamon to sprinkle on top! Try this the next time you’re craving a warm and indulgent beverage!

Step 1:

Warm 1 cup of milk. You can do this over the stove, or in a safe container in the microwave.

Step 2:

Stir or whisk in a rounded teaspoon of the golden milk powder until it has completely dissolved into the milk.

Step 3:

Pour into beautiful mugs, glasses, or jars and adorn with some cinnamon sticks, slices of ginger or powdered cinnamon! I love the gold accent on the rims of these glasses (from Umami Mart) since it complements the drinks nicely.

Happy Holiday Sippin’!
