Bye Bye Body Aches: Massage Away Pain with Ginger

Here’s another reason to love our Organic Skin Butter. Whether you have sore muscles, arthritis, muscle injuries, or just end up aching by the time Friday rolls around…this recipe is for you.


Skin butter + ginger

Ginger has the ability to alleviate pain in the body both by applying it topically and consuming it. It has been used as an herbal medicine for hundreds of years, and it can be easily added to your skin butter to relieve body aches.



  • 1 tbsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 jar Organic Skin Butter
  • 10 drops of lavender or peppermint essential oils


Empty the 1/2 jar of skin butter into a pan and add the tablespoon of ground ginger. Allow the oil to be infused with ginger over medium heat. Once it has been infused for about 20 minutes, strain the ground ginger strands from your oil (using a cheesecloth or kitchen strainer depending on how fine your ginger is) and mix in your choice of essential oils.

After all ingredients have been mixed together, pour your new skin butter back into its jar.

Now you can naturally massage away your aches and pains!
