DIY Beauty: Reusable Sheet Masks

We’ve all seen them, we’ve all tried them… the endless array of Korean-inspired sheet masks found in every local drugstore. Ranging from less than a buck to the price of your organic salad, these one-and-done masks are a current beauty industry favorite.

Why are they so popular? They work, and honestly… they’re just plain easy. The problem? They’re extremely wasteful, and we found that you can actually make more versatile sheet masks yourself! So stop buying and start making: your own eco- and skin-friendly masks at home!

We threw together a fool-proof mixture of rosewater, turmeric, and superfood oils that is sure to give you glowing skin. This DIY sheet mask is full of calming, anti-inflammatory properties that firm fine lines, even skin tone, and improve moisture. This is just ONE option for a sheet mask recipe – you can practically use any of our products to personalize your sheet masks to your skin’s needs.

What you need:

-1 thin, absorbing towel or piece of fabric (that you don’t mind cutting!)

-1 tsp. turmeric tea (steeped for at least ten minutes)

-1 tbsp. our Organic Rosewater Facial Toner

-2-3 pumps of our Organic Cleansing Oil

-2 tbsp. of Organic Coconut Milk (optional)

The method:
1) Loosely measure and cut slits in the fabric for your eyes, nostrils, and mouth (this will get pretty funny)
2) Brew and steep your tea for at least ten minutes, waiting for it to cool until it is at a comfortable temperature for your skin
3) Mix in Rosewater Toner and Cleansing Oil
4) Soak the fabric for about ten minutes or longer, letting it absorb all of the yummy ingredients!
5) Press mask onto face and let sit for 20-30 minutes before rinsing

When you’re all done, simply throw your mask in the wash! It’ll be ready to use again the next time your skin needs a deeper treatment!
